Contributor FAQ

This online magazine is run by young people from South East Asia on top of their daily activities, and is a place for us to learn and grow. As SEA Youth Say So grows and develops, we might be discussing and changing our policies as we go along, so please check back here from time to time!

Who can contribute?
Any young person from South East Asia is welcome to contribute. You don’t need to have any prior writing/blogging experience.

How do I contribute?
You can send your articles in to seayouthsayso[at]gmail[dot]com. Please include your name!

What do I need to send in?
Apart from your article, please send in at least one accompanying picture/photograph/graphic. Images help to make the whole piece more readable.

Also, please remember that you are writing this not just to people in your own country, but to everyone else in SEA (and even the world!) So if you are referring to something, please include links in your articles that can direct people to places where they can get more information/context about your subject.

Can I submit pieces that have already been published elsewhere?
We do accept pieces that have already been published, but on a case-by-case basis. If you’re submitting such an article, please let us know…
… where the article was first published, and what sort of publication it is
… if you have permission to republish the article
… if you were paid/commissioned by anyone to write the article
